Veterans Outreach of PA breaks ground on Tiny Homes Village for homeless vets.
After three years of fundraising, officials finally broke ground on the project Monday morning. Veterans Grove is right along Front Street in Harrisburg, which is near PennDOT’s Riverfront Building in Harrisburg.
There will be 15 tiny homes and a community center for veterans to give them a temporary place to stay as they work to get back on their feet.
Dauphin County CASA’s inaugural “Superhero 5K” raises vital funding for foster-child advocacy
The Dauphin County Court Appointed Special Advocate Program (DC CASA) hosted its inaugural Superhero 5K and family fun run in Harrisburg on Sunday.
Local heroes and their friends joined together at Bishop McDevitt High School to run or walk to raise awareness about the abuse and neglect of foster children and honor the volunteers making a difference in their lives.
