Dauphin County CASA to launch Giving Tree campaign to benefit foster children

A campaign to help foster children will kick off Tuesday evening.

The Dauphin County Court Appointed Special Advocate Program will light the Linglestown Square tree to launch its annual Giving Tree fundraiser.

Special advocates are community volunteers appointed by a judge to represent the best interests of foster children in court.

With nearly 400 children in foster care and just 40 CASAs, this fundraiser is critical for the program to meet the needs of those children.
