State Capitol news veterans to showcase Pennsylvania people, places, and politics
HARRISBURG, Pa. – Award-winning news veterans Flora Posteraro and Nell McCormack Abom team up for a new audio/video podcast series, “PA PoliChicks” offered through the nonpartisan online news site PennWatch.org. Debuting today, the series features conversations with state and national newsmakers as well as insights on the media and public relations.
“It’s pretty clear that news consumers embrace the intimacy and storytelling that are hallmarks of the very best podcasts,” noted McCormack Abom. “We want our new series to become a regular place where Pennsylvanians meet the ‘real people’ behind the headlines in a format that’s engaging, lively, and personal.”
“We like to say that no topic is off limits and we really want the podcast to be real. It features genuine conversations about the issues everyone’s interested in without a lot of fences and filters,” said Posteraro. “While politics is in our blood and will be a mainstay of the podcast, we’ll explore all kinds of topics — the people, places, and personalities that make this time in our history so fascinating.”
Posteraro is an Emmy Award-winning TV news anchor/reporter who worked for the last 34 years at TV stations around the state including Harrisburg, Wilkes-Barre, Johnstown, and Philadelphia, the nation’s fourth-largest television market.
